Day 1. Arrival in Kazan

Meals: on board / lunch / dinner

Arrival in Kazan — the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the most culturally diverse regions of Russia.

Upon arrival, meet with a local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

In the evening, enjoy the panoramic “Lights of Kazan” city tour, offering impressive views of the illuminated city and its main landmarks.

Day 2. Kazan

Meals: breakfast / lunch / dinner

Breakfast at the hotel.

Begin the day with a comprehensive city tour of Kazan, covering both historical and central districts. Highlights include:

  • the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Jalil
  • Kazan Federal University
  • Kazan City Hall
  • Lake Kaban
  • Peter and Paul Cathedral

Visit the Mother of God Monastery, where the icon of Our Lady of Kazan was discovered.

Continue with a walking tour of the Old Tatar Settlement, home to the oldest stone mosque in Kazan — the Mardzhani Mosque.

After lunch, proceed to the Kazan Kremlin (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the main historical landmark of the city. The visit includes:

  • Kul Sharif Mosque
  • Annunciation Cathedral
  • the leaning Syuyumbike Tower

Day 3. Sviyazhsk Island – Departure

Meals: breakfast / lunch / dinner

After breakfast, depart for an excursion to Sviyazhsk Island (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

This unique settlement was founded by Ivan the Terrible during the campaign to capture Kazan. During the visit, you will:

  • see a wooden church built in 1552 without the use of nails
  • explore monastery complexes with massive stone walls
  • take part in an interactive historical program

Return to Kazan for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to walk along Bauman Street, the city’s main pedestrian street, known for its architecture and shops.

Optional visit to the Museum of the 1000th Anniversary of Kazan, which presents the history and cultural heritage of the Tatar people from ancient times to the present day.

Dinner at a restaurant. Transfer to the railway station or airport.
