Bears on Kuril Lake
Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
(number of days/nights tourists directly are on the Kuril Lake, not taking into account days for the way to reach the lake and the way back).
Group size: 6-15 pax.
The Kuril Lake – a unique place, where it is possible to watch Kamchatka bears catching salmon.
There is the biggest population of brown bears and the largest sockeye spawning place on the peninsula.
1 day – ARRIVAL TO THE KURIL LAKE
Departure to the base camp on the Kuril Lake. If the weather permits the helicopter will make a stop at the Ksudach volcano and you’ll have a walk to the Shtyubel crater.
Arrival to the base camp. Lunch.
One day excursion.
Return to the base camp. Dinner.
Overnight in tents on the base camp territory.
2 day – AN EXCURSION PROGRAMM
Breakfast.
One day excursion.
Return to the base camp. Lunch.
Watching bears.
Dinner. Overnight in tents.
3 day – THE WAY BACK TO PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY CITY
Breakfast.
Watching bears.
Going to PKC (depends upon the weather, in the afternoon or in the evening). On the way if the weather permits, the helicopter makes a stop at the biggest Kamchatka hot spring – the Khodutka river. Bathing in springs.
