Seal Island

Colony of Antarctic Fur Seals on a small island in the Beagle Channel near the city of Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.

Seal Island is a tiny islet located 12 km from Cape Terpeniya. The island is only 636 meters long and 90 meters wide. The island is famous for the huge rookeries of fur seals and sea lions. Thousands of birds also nest on the island, forming real bird markets. We invite you to meet the nature!

Day 1.
At 16:00 departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Transfer to Poronaysk (3.5 hours drive).

Day 2.
Departure to Seals island (3 hours).

Day 3.
Return by minibus to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the evening.
