Day 1

Arrival
Meeting at the airport. Welcome to Dagestan! Transfer to the hotel on the shore of the Caspian Sea, where we will have a delicious dinner, get to know each other and discuss plans for the next few days.

Day 2

Breakfast. In the morning, after a hearty Breakfast, we will head to the Dagestan desert Barkhan sarykum.

Then we will go to the small cozy town of Dubki, which is located next to the natural attraction – Sulak Canyon. By the way, it’s deeper than the Grand Canyon in Colorado! The views are incredible. For lunch, we will visit the orchard, where we will try the local grilled trout cooked on coals, try local cuisine, and enjoy the flavors of local fruits. After the lunch, we visit heart of mountainous Dagestan – Gunib village.

On the way we will pass through the longest car tunnel in Russia, and stop at the Irganay reservoir, where the view is breathtaking!

Day 3

Breakfast. Gunib orientation tour. During the walk we will learn the history of the Caucasian war. We will see the Tsar’s glade, Shamil’s Gazebo, the Hunib fortress, Shamil’s Gate, and the White cranes monument. After that, we will go up by car to another place of unspeakable beauty.

We have lunch in an old village that is more than 1600 years old. After lunch we start a walking ascent to an abandoned ghosted village – Gamsutl. No one lives here, the last resident died in 2015.

We will walk along the Dagestanian Machu Picchu and return to the cars.

Then owe go to the Airport, we say goodbye to Dagestan, but you will take with you bright photos, warm memories of ancient villages, and hospitable people. We are sure that you want to repeat these days with your family and friends
